Our people and their self-belief," he stated. The event was organised by the Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism & Hospitality.
Tourism's Role in Economic Growth
The minister pointed out that countries with strong domestic demand have weathered global challenges better. He stressed the importance of tourism in economic development, citing its role in infrastructure growth, entrepreneurship, skill enhancement, and job creation. "Indeed, there are a few activities that do more to energise the economy and multiply employment," he remarked.
Jaishankar also noted India's efforts to showcase its cultural heritage globally. He mentioned the inclusion of several Indian sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List as part of this initiative. "We have so much to be proud of and so much to share with the world," he asserted.
Connecting India Globally
