ATM uprooted in Punjab
Phagwara, Sept 16: Unidentified persons uprooted an ATM containing Rs 3.34 lakh in Sabzi mandi area and fled in a vehicle, police said on Wednesday.
The accused did not use cutters and might have rip it out by force. The ICICI ATM was installed at a rented spot on Phagwara-Banga road, DSP Manpreet Singh Dhillon said.

Gulshan, the security guard manning the ATM, first noticed the break in and informed bank officials. He told police that he had locked the shutter of the ATM kiosk last night, Singh said.
A case under sections 380 (theft) and 457 (trespass or house breaking) of the IPC was registered against unknown persons.
