Assembly Elections 2023 Poll LIVE: 71% Voter Turnout In Chhattisgarh, 77.39% In Mizoram

While the Mizoram assembly elections passed off peacefully on Tuesday with over 77 per cent of 8.57 lakh electors exercising their franchise, Chhattisgarh assembly elections for 20 constituencies recorded around 71 per cent voter turnout.

The voting percentage in Mizoram is likely to touch 80 as final reports are yet to come from far-flung districts, additional chief electoral officer H Lianzela said.

Polling took place for a single-phase assembly election across all 40 constituencies in Mizoram, as well as the first phase of the Chhattisgarh assembly elections covering 20 out of a total of 90 assembly seats. To facilitate this electoral process, the Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued instructions to the Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs) to guarantee that every polling station is well-equipped with Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF).
