Assembly Election Verdict: BJP's Landslide Victory In Three States, Congress Claims Telangana
The Bharatiya Janata Party asserted its dominance, securing victories in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan, setting the stage for the 2024 general election. In a surprising turn, the Congress, though stunned in two of those states, found solace in a significant win in Telangana, interrupting K Chandrashekhar Rao's anticipated streak.
Expressing gratitude to the three northern states, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attributed the wins to the public's trust in the BJP's commitment to "good governance and development." PM Modi extended appreciation to the "Janta Janardan" and lauded the "exemplary" efforts of the party workers.

While Telangana brought celebratory vibes to the Congress, the sweeping defeats in the three states tempered their enthusiasm. Rahul Gandhi acknowledged the people's mandate, emphasizing the ongoing "battle of ideologies" with the BJP.
Awaiting its results tomorrow, Mizoram had its vote count delayed by a day, honoring the Christian-majority state's Sunday observance.
Madhya Pradesh
Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who initially seemed sidelined, emerged as the BJP's star player, steering the party to a resounding victory, winning 132 seats in the 230-member assembly. Chouhan accredited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the triumph, highlighting Modi's resonance with the people of Madhya Pradesh.
Chhattisgarh
In Chhattisgarh, the BJP poised for a significant win with 49 seats, toppling the Congress, while Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel secured victory in the Patan constituency after initially trailing behind his nephew, a BJP candidate.
Rajasthan
Rajasthan witnessed BJP's success through anti-incumbency, securing 115 out of 199 Assembly seats, denting the Congress's stronghold. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot conceded to the unexpected results, while Sachin Pilot claimed victory in Tonk.
Telangana
Telangana emerged as the Congress's silver lining, winning 63 seats against the BRS, with Chief Minister KCR winning in Gajwel but facing defeat in Kamareddy against BJP's K Venkata Ramana Reddy and Telangana Congress chief Revanth Reddy.
