Assam government bans sale of two products
Guwahati, Jul 30: The Assam government today banned two products after they were found to contain Benzoic acid and fluoride.
Two products - Annapurna Chilly sauce and Niyor Packaged Drinking Water -were banned for an initial period of thirty days with immediate effect following reports from Food Analyst and the Director, Referral Food Laboratory, Ghaziabad to the state government, an official release said here.

Annapurna Chilly sauce, manufactured by M/S Satez Agro Products Private Limited in Assam, was found to have Benzoic acid above the maximum permissible limit, it said.
Niyor Packaged Drinking Water, manufactured by M/S Blue Bell Enterprise in Assam, was found to contain Flouride higher than the maximum permissible limit, the release added.
