Police officer stabbed to death in Bihar

Darbhanga (Bihar), Nov 15: An Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police (ASP) was stabbed to death allegedly by a 'drug addict' in a locality under Laheriasarai police station area in this district on Sunday,Nov 15.

Vijay Kumar Paswan (40) was stabbed allegedly by Vipin Kumar alias Baba after the police officer admonished him for taking drug, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Dilnawaz Ahmed said.

Paswan died on way to hospital. The assailant has been arrested.

The incident sparked off protest by the local people who blocked road and torched a number of shops to protest against the killing of the ASI, police said.
