Arvind Kejriwal Writes A Letter To RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Know What He Said About BJP

Arvind Kejriwal, the former Chief Minister of Delhi and national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has addressed a letter to Mohan Bhagwat, the chief of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). In this letter, Kejriwal accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of deleting votes and distributing money in Delhi. He also raised several questions about the BJP's actions.

Kejriwal questioned whether the RSS supports the wrongdoings of the BJP. He asked if the RSS endorses BJP leaders openly distributing money to buy votes. Additionally, he inquired if cutting Dalit and Purvanchalis' votes on a large scale aligns with democratic principles according to RSS. Lastly, he questioned if RSS believes that BJP is weakening democracy.

AAP's Allegations Against BJP

The letter from Kejriwal followed allegations by AAP that the BJP was distributing cash to influence voters in Delhi. AAP leaders, including Chief Minister Atishi, held a press conference accusing Verma of handing out cash at his official residence, 20 Windsor Place. They claimed reporters captured video evidence showing women leaving with BJP pamphlets featuring Parvesh Verma and other senior leaders along with envelopes containing money.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh filed a complaint against BJP leaders Parvesh Verma and Manjinder Singh Sirsa for allegedly distributing cash to voters in New Delhi constituency, where Kejriwal is an MLA. The complaint stated that such actions degrade the political environment and jeopardise fair competition.

Legal Implications

The complaint accused BJP members and others of bribery with intent to influence electoral rights under Sections 170, 318, 335, 336, and 340 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, 2023. It alleged they created false documents to mislead people into believing them as genuine to support their claims.
