Arvind Kejriwal Arrest: Delhi Traffic Police Share Advisory For Commuters; DMRC Shuts ITO Metro Station
In view of the Aam Aadmi Party's call for a protest near ITO, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory for commuters to avoid the routes leading to ITO and nearby areas. According to the advisory, heavy traffic is expected near IP Marg, Vikas Marg, Minto Road, and Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg. Delhi traffic police have completely shut DDU Marg for traffic purposes.
The traffic police have requested commuters to kindly avoid these roads and plan their journey accordingly.

The Enforcement Directorate, which arrested Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday night, is expected to produce AAP Chief before a special PMLA court in connection with now scrapped Delhi liquor policy case.
In view to the expected massive protest today, Delhi Metro has also announced to keep the ITO metro station closed. In a post on X, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said, "On the advice of Delhi Police, ITO Metro station will remain closed from 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM today i.e, 22nd March 2024".
Reacting to Arvind Kejriwal's arrest, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi termed the arrest of a sitting Chief Minister as "killing, mockery, and murder of democracy."
After the CM's arrest, AAP's Delhi unit convenor Gopal Rai said, "I appeal to the countrymen to protest outside BJP offices across the country against this dictatorship. We will gather at the AAP office at 10 am on Friday and then protest outside the BJP headquarters."
