Arvind Kejriwal Arrest: AAP Calls For Protest Outside BJP Office; Rahul Gandhi May Meet Delhi CM's Family
In connection with, now-scrapped, Delhi Liquor Policy case, the Enforcement Directorate has arrested Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal. A team of ED officials reached Delhi CM's residence in Civil Lines on Thursday night to grill him and when they found CM's answers dissatisfactory, they arrested Arvind Kejriwal.
The arrest was made hours after the Delhi High Court denied interim protection from arrest to AAP leader.

Soon after CM Arvind Kejriwal's Arrest, INDIA bloc leaders started raising voices in support of their alliance partner and termed the arrest of a sitting Chief Minister as "killing, mockery, and murder of democracy."
After extending his support through a tweet, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is likely to meet the family of Arvind Kejriwal to offer further legal assistance, the reports said.
Rahul Gandhi's sister and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi said BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are conspiring against the Opposition leaders because they are scared of our alliance and will face a defeat in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024.
"Today, the BJP is murdering democracy. They have arrested two opposition chief ministers (One chief minister, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, was put in jail and now another, Kejriwal) and frozen a party's bank account. Is this how the BJP wants to win the election? I want to tell the BJP that if you want to fight, then come forward and fight in the political arena, in the election field. Stop doing politics, hiding behind the ED, stop using the ED as your weapon," Priyanka Gandhi said.
