Arvind Kejriwal announces compensation for farmers, says will fulfill all poll promises
New Delhi, Apr 11: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today announced a compensation of Rs 20,000 for per acre of damaged crops to farmers of the national capital and said his government will fulfill all the promises made by AAP in the run up to Delhi assembly polls.
Addressing a rally at Mundka in West Delhi, Kejriwal said farmers of Delhi have faced huge losses due to unseasonal rains and AAP government would always stand by them in their time of difficulty.
Referring to the rift in AAP, Kejriwal claimed there have been efforts to defame him.
The Chief Minister also listed various initiatives taken by his government and said giving 50 per cent power subsidy to around 90 per cent of the total consumers was a major decision.
"Congress and BJP could not slash power tariff. We could do it as our intention is very clear," he said.
