APSC CCE 2024: Last Day Of Application Submission Tomorrow; Apply Here Before Deadline
The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) is accepting applications for the Combined Competitive Exam (CCE) 2024. The APSC Notification was released on January 12, and forms have been available since January 17. The window for submitting applications closes tomorrow at 5 PM.
APSC CCE 2024: Total 235 Vacancies
The Assam Public Service Commission conducts various examinations to fill crucial administrative roles in the state. The Assam Civil Service (Junior Grade) boasts 45 positions, the Assam Police Service (Junior Grade) offers 35 opportunities, and positions like Superintendent of Taxes and Superintendent of Excise each have one vacancy.

The Assam Finance Service, with 13 openings, plays a vital role in financial management. Other notable positions include Block Development Officer (6), Asstt Registrar of Cooperative Societies (4), Inspector of Labour (4), Inspector of Taxes (4), Asstt. Employment Officer (1), Sub-Registrar (3), Assistant Accounts Officer (107), and Inspecting Auditor (11).
The significant number of vacancies for Assistant Accounts Officers highlights the emphasis on financial acumen in the administrative apparatus. Overall, these 235 positions present opportunities for skilled individuals to contribute to the progress and governance of Assam.
APSC CCE 2024: Important Dates
The preliminary exam tentative date is March 17, 2024, and the Main examination will be conducted between June and July. The results for the APSC Prelims will be out in April 2024.
APSC CCE 2024: Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should be citizens of India.
- Applicants must be an original inhabitant of Assam.
- Candidates should be able to speak Assamese or other official languages or associate official languages of the State or any of the tribal applicants' languages of the State.
- Applicants should be registered in a District Employment Office of Assam.
- Interested candidates should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 38 years of age as of the date of application submission. There are relaxations on the upper age limit for reserved categories.
- Candidates must hold a degree from any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess such qualification as may be declared equivalent by the Government. Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification on the date of submission of their applications.
- Ex-Servicemen candidates would be required to submit the Ex-Servicemen Identity Card issued by the Zila Sainik Welfare Office and Discharge Book.
- Candidates must submit a 'Small Family Norms in Form-A' declaration when applying for the Preliminary Examination.
APSC CCE 2024: Steps To Apply
- Visit the official website of APSC at apsc.gov.in.
- Click on 'Online Recruitment Portal' on the homepage.
- Click on 'Register Here' at the bottom of the page.
- Enter the required details and then click on 'Generate OTP.'
- The applicant will receive the OTP on the registered number. Solve the captcha and then click on 'Register.'
- After registration, log in to the portal using your registered email ID, phone number, and password.
- Check the link for the respective APSC post and click 'Apply Now.'
- Insert the mandatory information and upload the necessary documents.
- After submitting the details, pay the application fee and submit the form.
APSC CCE 2024: Application Fee
The APSC CCE application fee for the Assam Public Services Exam is based on different categories. However, the candidates should note that the application fee is non-refundable.
General/EWS candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 285, while SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates have a slightly reduced fee of Rs 185. Furthermore, individuals falling under the BPL (Below Poverty Line), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD), and women categories benefit from a significantly lower fee of Rs 35.40.
