Appear Before Court On March 16: Delhi Court To CM Arvind Kejriwal
Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday summoned Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal directing him to appear physically before the court on March 16, 2024. According to the reports, the latest summons came after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) complained to the court that the AAP leader is not cooperating in the investigation related to now scrapped Delhi excise policy money laundering.
The ED told the court that CM had skipped 10 summons earlier sent under Section 50 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Divya Malhotra has listed the matter for Thursday and has asked the Delhi Chief Minister to appear during the hearing.
The reports suggested that ED has filed a fresh complaint under IPL Section 174 (non-attendance in obedience to an order from a public servant) along with Section 63(4) of the PMLA that speaks about "a person who intentionally disobeys any direction".
Earlier today, Arvind Kejriwal slammed BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for intentionally targeting opposition leaders and alleging "pressure to join" their fraction ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024.
AAP supremo added that the BJP is making every possible effort to create pressure through ED, CBI, and other central agencies. He added that every action would be stopped if he became a member of NDA.
Earlier, on March 4, when Arvind Kejriwal was asked about why he skipped the ED summons, the Delhi CM had said, "he or his party have not done anything wrong nor they are trying to hide anything.
