Anmol Bishnoi, Accused in Baba Siddique Murder and Salman Khan Firing, Arrives in India

Anmol Bishnoi, younger brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has reached New Delhi after being deported by the United States. His return is tied to the investigation into the murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique.

Fresh Questions After Bishnoi's Arrival

Baba Siddique, a three time MLA and senior political figure, was shot dead on October 12, 2024, outside his son's office.

Officials say that Anmol Bishnoi was in contact with the attackers who carried out the killing.

The US Department of Homeland Security informed Zeeshan Siddiqui, the son of the late leader, that Bishnoi had been removed from the country.

The email stated, "This email is to inform you ANMOL BISHNOI has been removed from the United States by the federal government. The offender was removed on November 18, 2025."

Bishnoi has now become the nineteenth accused taken into custody as part of the National Investigation Agency probe.

In March 2023, the agency had filed a chargesheet linking him with Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi in several major crimes between 2020 and 2023.

Family Wants Mastermind Identified

Before Bishnoi's deportation, Zeeshan Siddiqui urged that he be brought to Mumbai for questioning so investigators can uncover who ordered the hit.

He said, "I am sure he will be brought to Mumbai as well. Anmol Bishnoi and my father had nothing to do with each other. So the fact that Anmol Bishnoi has done this and the Mumbai police has named him, it is essential for us to know who is the mastermind behind the murder. I believe that once he steps onto Indian soil, I am sure the legal system will give us justice."

He stressed that there was no dispute between his father and Bishnoi, which raises doubts about who directed the killing.

He added, "This does seem like a contract killing. It is very essential for us to get the details. For society as a whole, it is very important for us to know because it is for the safety of everyone."

Multiple Criminal Cases Pending

Anmol Bishnoi is wanted in several violent crimes.

He is accused in the murder of Baba Siddique in October 2024 and was earlier linked to the assassination of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in May 2022.

He is also an accused in the case of gunfire outside actor Salman Khan's residence in Mumbai in April 2024.

Last year, he was added to the National Investigation Agency Most Wanted List and a reward of ten lakh rupees was announced for information leading to his arrest.

Investigators say eighteen cases have been filed against him.

One of these alleges that he supplied weapons and logistical support to the men who killed Moosewala. Goldy Brar had first claimed responsibility, later stating that the shooting was done to avenge a rival politician's murder.

Illegal Entry into the US and Deportation

Bishnoi was arrested in Sacramento in November 2024 for entering the United States with forged documents.

This happened shortly after India initiated extradition proceedings following a non bailable warrant from a Maharashtra court and a Red Corner Notice issued by Interpol.
