Anita Goyal, Wife Of Jet Airways Founder Naresh Goyal, Dies Of Cancer
Anita Goyal, wife of Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal, has passed away in Mumbai after battling cancer. Naresh Goyal, recently granted interim bail by the Bombay High Court, was with her. Her funeral is scheduled for later today in Mumbai.
On May 6, the Bombay High Court granted Naresh Goyal interim bail for two months due to medical reasons, requiring a Rs 1 lakh surety and barring him from leaving Mumbai without court approval, along with surrendering his passport. This relief followed a prior denial of bail in February, though he was allowed medical treatment at a private hospital.

Goyal's appeal to the high court cited deteriorating health, with his advocate, Harish Salve, emphasizing humanitarian grounds. The Enforcement Directorate opposed the bail, suggesting extended hospitalization and a fresh medical evaluation.
Naresh Goyal was arrested by the ED in September 2023 for money laundering, accused of diverting loans from Jet Airways to Canara Bank. His wife Anita was also arrested in November 2023 but was granted bail the same day due to her age and health.
