Aniruddhacharya Defends Controversial Remarks On Live-In Relationships; Khushboo Patani Responds

A recent video featuring Aniruddhacharya defending his contentious remarks about women in live-in relationships has gained traction on social media. Some users on X believe this is a response to Khushboo Patani, Disha Patani's sister and a former major in the Indian Army. Last week, Khushboo criticised the spiritual leader for his comments.

Khushboo Patani, who labelled Aniruddhacharya as "anti-national" due to his misogynistic statements, is also facing backlash. Many are criticising her for allegedly making comments against Premanand Ji Maharaj, known as the spiritual guide of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. In her latest Instagram post, Khushboo clarified that her remarks were solely about Aniruddhacharya's views on live-in relationships.

Aniruddhacharya's Response

In a new video, Aniruddhacharya appears to address Khushboo Patani's criticism by reiterating his stance. He stated that speaking the truth is challenging in Kalyug. His comments have sparked further debate online.

"Humne bola ki, 'Live-in mein rehna galat hai'. Toh humara kya kar rahe hain log? Virodh. Iss Kalyug mein aap satya nahin bol sakte. Kalyug mein aap vaishya ko vaishya nahin bol sakte. Woh hai toh vaishya par sunna chahti hai ki woh Sati-Savitri hai. Ghoomegi ardh-nagn aur sunna chahegi ki humein devi kaho," he said in the clip.

Khushboo Patani's Stand

Khushboo Patani has been actively posting on Instagram to clarify her position. She insists she never commented on Premanand Ji Maharaj and only addressed Aniruddhacharya's statements. She feels her words are being twisted to mislead people and defame her.

"My comments were about this video," she wrote in Hindi alongside an older video of Aniruddhacharya. She expressed frustration over being linked to other saints like Premanand Ji Maharaj.

Khushboo further stated, "Whatever I said is being misconstrued and twisted to paint the wrong picture... That's why my name is being linked to other saints like Premanand Ji Maharaj so that people can be misled and that I can be defamed... But these people don't know who they are messing up with," she wrote in an Instagram post on Sunday.

The controversy surrounding Aniruddhacharya's remarks and Khushboo Patani's response continues to unfold online. Both parties remain firm in their positions while facing criticism from different quarters.
