Andhra:'Kissing Baba' may kiss his freedom goodbye
Kadapa, Dec 27: The Godman who used to ward off the problems of his lady 'disciples' with a hug and a kiss may now kiss his freedom goodbye. Popularly known as the 'kissing baba', the Godman claimed that he could drive away domestic and financial troubles by hugging and kissing the women. Surprisingly, he just had a lemon as a solution for the men.
The Baba was finally arrested in Proddatur town of Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh. He was produced before the court, which sent him to judicial custody for two weeks. He was also referred to a mental hospital as he appeared to sound unhealthy mentally.

According to the police, one Subba Reddy was also arrested for popularizing the baba among the people in the district. He used to reccomend people to him by saying that the bab could help the afflicted and solve their financial problems. Police also informed that the man was operating for the past two months from a room behind the Ayyappa temple in the town.
Immediate action was taken by the police after a local media channel broadcast shocking images of a man kissing and hugging women devotees. People have been appealed by the police not to fall in trap of such fake godmen.
