Anamika Sharma Takes To The Skies To Unfurl Mahakumbh Flag At 13,000 Feet In Bangkok
In a display of patriotism and cultural pride, Anamika Sharma, the youngest C-licensed skydiver from Prayagraj, recently took to the skies above Bangkok to unfurl the official flag of the Mahakumbh at an impressive altitude of 13,000 feet. This remarkable feat was carried out on January 8, 2025, solidifying Anamika's standing as not only a skilled skydiver but also as a passionate promoter of Indian traditions on the international stage. Previously, she made headlines by skydiving with the Ram Mandir flag, and her latest jump is part of the lead-up to the much-anticipated Prayagraj Mahakumbh.

The Prayagraj Mahakumbh is renowned for being the world's largest spiritual gathering, drawing millions from across the globe. This year, it is poised to be an even more spectacular occasion, thanks to the unique Muhurta and the auspicious alignment of planetary and astrological positions. Both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have endorsed the event, setting the stage for a truly memorable festival.
Anamika's dedication to skydiving and her achievements have not gone unnoticed. Starting her skydiving journey at the tender age of 10, she has since become an inspiration for many across India, earning a United States Parachute Organisation (USPA) C license and becoming an Indian female skydiving instructor. Her father, Ajay Kumar Sharma, a former Air Force officer, has been a constant source of support and motivation throughout her career.
