Amit Shah Warns Terrorists After Pahalgam Attack: ‘No One Will Be Spared'
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in a strong message following the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, said on Thursday that terrorists must not believe they have achieved a victory. Addressing an event in Delhi, Shah emphasized that the battle against terrorism is far from over, asserting that the Modi-led government will take decisive revenge.
"Terrorists should not think they have won the war. This fight is not over yet. Chun chun ke badla lenge (We will avenge each and every one)," Shah said, reinforcing the Centre's commitment to counter-terrorism.

He went on to say that the NDA government, led by Narendra Modi, is steadfast in its resolve to remove terrorism entirely from Indian territory. "Remember that this is the Narendra Modi government-no one will be spared-if someone thinks that launching a cowardly attack is their huge victory. We will succeed in our goal to eradicate terrorists from every part of our nation," Shah said resolutely.
"Not just the 140 crore Indians, but the entire world is standing with us," the home minister added, highlighting international support with India. Globally, nations have come together to support India's war on terrorism.
The Pahalgam Terror Attack's details
26 people, mostly tourists, were killed and numerous others were injured in a vicious terrorist attack that occurred on April 22 in the Baisaran Valley near Pahalgam in the Anantnag region of south Kashmir. This is one of the deadliest strikes to hit Jammu and Kashmir since the Pulwama tragedy in 2019, which claimed the lives of 40 CRPF members.
The Reaction of the Government to the Attack
India promptly reacted by taking a number of severe measures against Pakistan. A downgrading in diplomatic relations, the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, and the revocation of all short-term visas granted to Pakistani nationals are some of these actions. Long-term visa holders, however, were not subject to this regulation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the military forces complete operational autonomy during a high-level security meeting, enabling them to choose the type, targets, and timing of India's response to the strike.
