Shah will address the media on Wednesday and announce the measures that have been initiated to control the ongoing situation. He will fly out of Manipur on Thursday.

Meanwhile CM Singh has said that there are 38 vulnerable areas which have been identified in the state. The Central Armed Police Forces personnel have been deployed in those areas to prevent any untoward incident. He also urged the people of the violence-hit state to world towards bringing normalcy.

Since the ethnic clashes began 75 lives have been lost. The violence broke out following a Tribal Solidarity March which was organised in the hill district on May 3. They are protesting the Meitei community's demand for Schedule Tribe status. The violence was also preceded by the tension over the eviction of the Kuki villagers from the reserve forest lands which has led to a series of agitations.
