Amit Shah Says Holi 2024 Is Special As Ram Temple Inaugurated This Year

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel celebrated Holi with party functionaries on Monday. The celebration took place at the BJP's Gandhinagar Lok Sabha office in the Thaltej area, where Shah and Patel participated in applying colors to party leaders, including Rajya Sabha MP Mayant Nayak, MLA Amit Thakar, Gandhinagar Mayor Hitesh Makwana, Gujarat BJP's general secretary KC Patel, and others from the women's wing.

Reflecting on the recent consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22, Shah emphasized the significance of this year's Holi for all "Ram bhakts," noting that Lord Ram was celebrating the festival of colors after a hiatus of 500 years.

"This Holi holds special meaning for every devotee of Lord Ram. There's an age-old folk song that resonates with this sentiment - 'Holi Khele Raghuveera Avadh Mae'. Now, after 500 years, Raghuveer is playing Holi in Avadh. This brings immense joy to everyone. My heartfelt greetings to all citizens on the occasion of Holi," remarked Shah during the gathering.

Addressing party workers actively involved in his electoral campaign, Shah, who has been renominated from Gandhinagar, urged them to enhance their visibility among the masses.

"I want to emphasize that you're all doing commendable work. However, always remember that while your candidate may be less visible, it's crucial for you to be more visible among the masses," Shah emphasized. In the 2019 elections, Shah secured victory from the Gandhinagar constituency with a substantial margin of over 5 lakh votes.
