Amit Shah Fires Back At Arvind Kejriwal: 'Can He Declare BJP’s CM Face?'

Union Minister Amit Shah, during a recent address, criticized Arvind Kejriwal's comments and strategies concerning the upcoming Delhi assembly election. Shah refuted Kejriwal's claim about the BJP's chief ministerial candidate and highlighted the Congress and AAP's failure to benefit the people of Delhi. He emphasized that only the BJP could bring positive change to the city, accusing the opposition of making empty promises for votes.

Shah further discussed the BJP's commitment to addressing the concerns of Delhi's slum dwellers. He mentioned that the party had carefully listened to their grievances regarding unfulfilled promises and had drafted a manifesto aimed at providing comprehensive solutions. This manifesto, according to Shah, stands as a testament to Prime Minister Modi's guarantee, unlike the AAP's, which he implied lacked credibility and substance. Shah's comments underscored the BJP's focus on delivering on their promises, contrasting it with AAP's approach.

During his speech, Amit Shah also took a moment to contrast the priorities of the BJP with those of Arvind Kejriwal. He recalled when the BJP announced the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Kejriwal had suggested building toilets instead. Shah used this example to highlight the differing visions between the two parties. He also emphasized the achievements of Prime Minister Modi's government, notably the provision of houses to over 3.58 crore poor people across the country, underscoring the commitment to welfare and development.

Amidst these discussions, Arvind Kejriwal threw a new challenge into the political arena by congratulating former MP Ramesh Bidhuri on supposedly becoming the BJP's choice for chief ministerial candidate in Delhi. Kejriwal has gone so far as to invite Bidhuri for a public debate, a move that appears to be in anticipation of the official announcement of Bidhuri's candidacy. This challenge adds another layer of competition to the upcoming elections, with Kejriwal positioning himself against the BJP's strategies and choices.

The Delhi assembly elections are set to be a closely watched contest, with the BJP and AAP vying for dominance. Scheduled for February 5, with the results announced on February 8, the elections will see key figures like Ramesh Bidhuri and Atishi from the AAP contesting for crucial constituencies like Kalkaji. The political landscape of Delhi is charged with anticipation as parties lay out their manifestos and strategies to win over the electorate.
