Amit Shah Confident BJP and Allies Will Secure Victory in Upcoming Assembly Polls in Maharashtra and Jharkhand
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, during his two-day visit to Gujarat, expressed optimism about the BJP and its allies securing victories in the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand. Speaking at a BJP gathering near Ahmedabad, Shah highlighted India's progress towards becoming the world's third-largest economy by 2027 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was among the notable attendees at this event organised by the Ghatlodia assembly unit.

Upcoming Elections and BJP's Confidence
Shah reiterated his confidence in the BJP and its allies winning the assembly polls in Maharashtra and Jharkhand. According to a BJP release, he addressed party leaders and workers, emphasising the party's expected success. Maharashtra will conduct its election on November 20, with Jharkhand holding its final polling phase on the same day. The results are set to be declared on November 23.
Achievements Under Modi's Leadership
Shah praised the BJP government for fulfilling key promises under PM Modi's leadership. These include the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, implementing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), abolishing instant triple talaq, and constructing a grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He noted India's journey towards becoming the third-largest global economy by 2027.
India's Growing Global Influence
The Home Minister remarked on India's rising global influence, stating that world leaders now pay attention to India and PM Modi's statements. "There was a time when journalists as well as world leaders used to look towards the US. But today, they pay attention to what India and PM Modi is saying," he said. Shah credited this change to collective efforts.
Events Scheduled for Amit Shah
On Tuesday, Shah is set to participate in several events. His schedule includes inaugurating a philately exhibition at Mahatma Mandir and addressing the All India Police Science Congress at Rashtriya Raksha University in Gandhinagar. In the afternoon, he will open a cattle feed plant of Sagar Dairy near Himmatnagar town in Sabarkantha district.
Later in the day, Shah will dedicate a newly-developed lake near Shela village on Ahmedabad's outskirts. He also expressed gratitude towards party workers who contributed to his victory from Gandhinagar in this year's Lok Sabha elections.
