Amit Shah Attacks Rahul Gandhi Saying "Blank Constitution Is Biggest Fraud"
Amit Shah highlighted that the Congress altered the Constitution 77 times, whereas the BJP did so only 22 times. He emphasised that India's Constitution was formed through a democratic process, incorporating public feedback. According to Shah, no party has distorted it as much as the Congress.
Shah remarked that parliamentary debates on the Constitution serve as an educational tool for future generations. These discussions reveal which parties have respected or disregarded the Constitution. He noted, "The debate on the Constitution in Parliament has been an educational one for future generations and the people of the country. It has revealed which party honoured the Constitution and which party did not."

Constitutional Amendments and Traditions
He criticised Congress leaders for carrying what he described as a "fake, blank Constitution," attributing their recent electoral losses to this perception. Shah stated, "People figured out that you (Congress leaders) carry a fake, blank Constitution, which is why you lost the recent elections." He also mentioned that while India has adopted beneficial practices from others, it has never compromised its traditions.
Shah pointed out that change is a fundamental truth of life, a concept recognised by the framers of the Constitution who included provisions for amendments. He explained that the first amendment occurred on June 18, 1951, when Article 19A was added to limit freedom of expression because Congress didn't want to wait for general elections.
Equality and Uniform Civil Code
The principle of equality is central to India's Constitution. Shah questioned why a Uniform Civil Code wasn't introduced earlier, attributing this to India's first Prime Minister's decision to implement Muslim personal law instead. He said, "Equality is at the heart of our Constitution. Why wasn't a Uniform Civil Code Introduced? Because the first Prime Minister brought in Muslim personal law."
Discussing election outcomes in Maharashtra and Jharkhand held on the same day, Shah criticised opposition reactions. When they lost in Maharashtra, they blamed faulty EVMs; however, upon winning in Jharkhand, they celebrated without hesitation. He urged them to show some shame as people are observant.
Criminal Justice Reforms
Shah praised PM Narendra Modi for Indianising criminal justice through three new laws aimed at freeing India from colonial mindsets. He asserted that if anyone worked towards liberating India from such mentalities, it was PM Modi himself.
