Ambedkar Jayanti or Bhim Jayanti is observed on 14 April to commemorate the birthday of BR Ambedkar, social reformer and chief architect of the Indian constitution.

He was India's first law minister and was given Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour, in 1990.
Ambedkar is an icon for Indians, especially Dalits, for his relentless work for social reforms and empowerment of the disadvantaged sections of society.
His followers pay their respects to him by offering flowers, lighting candles and organising cultural events on his birthday.
In schools, it is common for teachers to ask students to come up with short speeches on Dr BR Ambedkar as it helps their personal, social, and academic growth.
Short and Simple Speech for Students on Ambedkar Jayanti
To make students' tasks easy, we are providing a simple yet effective speech for students which can be said in about one minute.
Good Morning/Good afternoon, respected Principal sir/mam, teachers and my dear friends.
Today, I am honoured to talk about one of the most influential and visionary leaders in Indian history as we commemorate the birthday of Dr BR Ambedkar.
Born into a Dalit family, he faced numerous obstacles in his personal and professional life. However, his resilience and determination led him to become a champion of the Dalit community and a driving force behind India's constitution.
He dedicated his life to fighting for the rights of the marginalized and oppressed.
He was a key architect of the Indian Constitution and played a pivotal role in shaping modern India. Dr Ambedkar's teachings and ideas remain as relevant today as they were when he first articulated them.
Ambedkar's vision for India was a society where every individual, regardless of their caste, creed, or gender, had equal rights and opportunities. He believed that education was the key to achieving this goal and worked tirelessly to promote access to education for all.
As Ambedkar's legacy continues to inspire millions of people around the world, let us all take a moment to remember and honor the great Ambedkar, and to commit ourselves to carrying forward his message of equality and justice for all.
On this auspicious day, let us strive to build a society that reflects his vision of a just and equal India, where every person is valued and respected. Happy Birthday Dr BR Ambedkar.
