Amarnath Yatra 2025: Offline Registration Begins In Jammu, Yatra To Start On July 3

Offline registration for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra 2025 officially began today across multiple dedicated centres in Jammu. These arrangements are intended to facilitate devotees who were unable to register through the online system. The annual pilgrimage to the revered Amarnath Cave Shrine is set to commence on July 3, 2025, and will be accessible via the traditional Baltal and Pahalgam routes.

To streamline the offline registration process, three primary centres with several token counters have been established, catering to both the Baltal and Pahalgam routes. Notably, Saraswati Dham in Jammu is issuing tokens for both pathways, making it one of the key hubs for registration.

Thousands of devotees gathered at the designated centres, reflecting strong enthusiasm and spiritual commitment despite recent concerns over regional security. Many pilgrims praised the arrangements and encouraged wider participation in the Yatra as a show of unity and defiance against threats of terrorism.

To ensure the safety of all pilgrims, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has launched an extensive multi-tiered security plan, particularly along the crucial Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44). Security measures include increased patrolling, deployment of trained K-9 dog squads, and reinforced vigilance in sensitive areas like the Udhampur sector.

In preparation for potential natural disasters, a joint mock drill simulating a landslide scenario was conducted near Toldi Nallah at Samroli on NH-44. The exercise involved coordinated efforts by the CRPF, Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the State Disaster Response Force (JKSDRF), showcasing readiness for any emergency during the Yatra.

The first batch of pilgrims is scheduled to be ceremonially flagged off from the Jammu base camp on July 2, a day before the official commencement of the Yatra on July 3. The annual spiritual journey will continue until August 9, 2025.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha recently visited key base camps and reviewed medical, logistical, and administrative preparations to ensure a seamless and safe experience for the pilgrims.

Participation in the Yatra is subject to certain guidelines, including a daily limit of around 15,000 pilgrims. Age restrictions are in place for participants between 13 and 70 years. All pilgrims are required to carry valid registration permits, medical fitness certificates, and adhere to safety protocols throughout the journey.

With offline registration underway and robust security and emergency arrangements in place, the 2025 Amarnath Yatra is set to welcome thousands of devotees for a spiritually enriching and secure pilgrimage to the sacred Himalayan cave shrine.
