All you need to know about the reforms in India's visa policy
Key reforms include liberalisation of e-Visa scheme.
The union cabinet has approved a series of reforms to India's visa policy. The reforms aimed at benefitting travellers comes into effect immediately. The reforms are applicable on all applications submitted starting April 1.

Key reforms include liberalisation of e-Visa scheme. The e-visa facility will now be extended to 161 countries for entry through 24 airports.
Reforms also include dividing e-visas into three categories of e-tourist visa, e-business visa and e-medical visa.
The cabinet approved the move to introduce Film visa with a maximum duration of one year. Intern visa to be granted after graduation or post graduation.
