Akhilesh Yadav Slams Kangana Ranaut's Comments on Farmers' Protests as BJP Script
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav criticised BJP MP Kangana Ranaut for her comments on the farmers' protests. He suggested her remarks were intentional, meant to shield the BJP's top leadership from blame in the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections. Yadav expressed this view in a Hindi post on X.

Yadav accused the BJP of scripting Ranaut's statements, comparing them to dialogues delivered by an actress under a director's guidance. He questioned how ordinary politicians understand the negative impact of such language on farmers, yet BJP's strategists do not.
Opposition Targets BJP Over Farmers' Protests
Ranaut, representing Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, shared a clip from her interview with Dainik Bhaskar. In it, she claimed that during the farmers' protests against three controversial farm laws, India could have faced a Bangladesh-like situation if not for strong leadership. She alleged that bodies were hanging and rapes occurred during the protests.
The opposition has seized this opportunity to criticise the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as Haryana prepares for polls on October 1. The BJP distanced itself from Ranaut's remarks, clarifying she is not authorised to speak on party policies.
BJP Denounces Ranaut's Remarks
Thousands of farmers from Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and other regions protested at Delhi's borders for several months against the now-repealed farm laws. The BJP condemned Ranaut's comments on Monday, expressing disagreement with her views.
Yadav further stated that Ranaut's comments were a deliberate tactic to deflect blame from the BJP leadership for an anticipated defeat in Haryana. He described her statement as a "word-shield" meant to protect someone.
"This is not a statement but a word-shield to protect someone," Yadav added. He implied that the actress’s remarks would be used as an excuse for any electoral loss in Haryana.
Ranaut's controversial comments have sparked significant backlash, with many questioning her authority to speak on such sensitive issues. The BJP’s attempt to distance itself from her remarks highlights internal disagreements within the party regarding handling the farmers' protests.
The controversy surrounding Ranaut’s statements continues to unfold as political parties gear up for the Haryana Assembly elections. The opposition remains focused on holding the BJP accountable for its stance on the farmers' protests and related issues.
The unfolding events indicate that Ranaut’s remarks will likely remain a focal point in political debates leading up to the Haryana polls. The opposition aims to leverage these comments to challenge the ruling party’s credibility and policies.
