Akhilesh Yadav Slams BJP As Universe's 'Biggest Liar' At UP Rally
In a fervent address during an election rally in western Uttar Pradesh, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav launched a scathing critique of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), labeling it as "the biggest liar in the universe." The rally, aimed at garnering support for SP's Gautam Buddh Nagar candidate Mahendra Singh Nagar, saw Yadav vehemently attacking the BJP's decade-long tenure in the region, accusing it of fostering a legacy of deception and corruption.

Yadav's assertions came amidst the first phase of polling in eight constituencies of western Uttar Pradesh, where he expressed confidence in the BJP's diminishing influence. "It feels like this time the wind from the west is going to eliminate the BJP completely," Yadav remarked, suggesting a lackluster performance by the BJP in the initial phase of elections.
The SP leader did not hold back in his criticism, especially on the contentious issue of electoral bonds. He accused the Modi government of significant corruption linked to electoral bonds, claiming it has led to widespread fear among BJP leaders. "Ever since the electoral bonds issue has surfaced, the BJP people are scared," Yadav stated, adding a touch of humor by mentioning their alleged fainting spells upon hearing about electoral bonds.
Yadav also touched upon the Agnipath scheme controversy, criticizing the BJP for converting permanent defence jobs into temporary positions. He warned that if the BJP remains in power, even police personnel might face a similar fate with reduced service terms akin to Agniveers under the Agnipath scheme.
Addressing concerns over dynasty politics, Yadav challenged the BJP to refrain from nominating candidates with familial connections if they were genuinely against such practices. He accused the BJP of hypocrisy, alleging that it overlooks its internal issues while criticizing others for nepotism.
The rally also highlighted issues affecting farmers and youth, with Yadav claiming that government actions have led to widespread dissatisfaction among these crucial demographic groups. He cited instances of protests against farm laws and concerns over frequent exam paper leaks as evidence of the government's failure to address the needs and aspirations of these communities.
Yadav's speech underscored his belief in a united opposition front, mentioning the INDIA coalition's readiness to challenge the BJP. This coalition includes not just the Congress and SP but also the Aam Aadmi Party, aiming to present a formidable challenge to the incumbent government.
The SP chief concluded his address by emphasizing the collective desire for change among various sections of society, including farmers and youth. With Gautam Buddh Nagar set to vote on April 26 in the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections, Yadav's rallying cry was clear: it is time for a significant political shift in Uttar Pradesh.
