Ajit Doval's big bungalow shows his clout in NDA

New Delhi, Oct 30: National Security Adviser Ajit Doval has finally moved into a new official residence. He has been alloted the 5, Janpath bungalow in Central Delhi.

Unlike his predecessor Shiv Shankar Menon who occupied a house on Teen Murti Marg, Doval has got a much larger accommodation on the famous Janpath Road. This region is one of the prestigious in the New Delhi region having eight bedroom bungalows with lush green garden, excellent civic amenities and most important, a privileged address.

Doval is now neighbour of Sonia and Manmohan

Doval's 5 Janpath bungalow was earlier occupied by former Prime Minister IK Gujral. Now, he has got some VIPs neighbours as former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi are staying a few metres away from Doval's new residence.

Doval's new high-profile official residence signifies his important place in the NDA Government. He is staying in eight-bedroom plush bungalow at Janpath, which is generally alloted to Cabinet Ministers and former Prime Ministers. But, unlike his predecessors, he has managed to get this big plush bungalow. Sources say, Doval is close confidante of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Prime Minister often takes his advise on number of issues.
