Telecom giant Bharti Airtel has refuted claims of a security breach, following reports of a significant data leak involving its customers.
"Basis preliminary investigation we can confirm that there has been no data breach whatsoever of Airtel system," Moneycontrol quoted a spokesperson from the telecom company as saying.

Unverified reports had suggested that details of 375 million Airtel customers were allegedly available for sale on the dark web. These details purportedly included phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, and Aadhaar numbers. However, Moneycontrol has not been able to verify the authenticity of these claims.

A threat actor identified as 'xenZen' reportedly listed a database for sale on a dark web forum. The individual sought $50,000 for the information. Despite these allegations, Airtel maintains that their systems have not been compromised.
