Aircel-Maxis: Bail plea of Maran brothers adjourned to Aug 1
New Delhi, July 21: A special CBI court on Thursday adjourned hearing on a bail plea filed by the Maran brothers in connection with the Aircel-Maxis case to August 1.
Former union minister, Dayanidhi Maran, his brother Kalanithi Maran and four others moved a CBI special court seeking bail in connection with the Aircel-Maxis money laundering case.

Bail pleas were also filed by Kalanithi's wife Kavery, and K Shanmugam, managing director of South Asia FM Ltd (SAFL).
During the course of the hearing, the court sought to know why there has been a delay in the proceedings.
Both the CBI and the ED pointed out that the delays were because there are foreign nationals involved in the case. Both the agencies are now planning on filing an application to split the case against the Indian and foreign accused.
