Air India Announces Free Ticket Cancellation During G20 Summit Period
Air India has announced a special provision for passengers with confirmed tickets dated from September 7 to September 11. In a notice posted on X titled "Important Announcement," Air India acknowledged the travel restrictions in Delhi during these dates, which encompass Thursday, September 7, to Monday, September 11, 2023.

As a gesture of goodwill, the airline, owned by the Tata Group, has decided to allow passengers holding confirmed tickets for any of the mentioned dates to cancel them without incurring any cancellation charges. This one-time waiver is being offered to accommodate passengers affected by the Delhi restrictions.
Furthermore, the waiver extends to passengers who wish to request a change in their flight dates, and Air India assures that there will be no additional fees for rescheduling, except for the fare difference, as stated in their announcement.

The travel restrictions in Delhi from September 7 to 11 have been imposed by the Central government to minimize traffic disruptions, as heads of states are scheduled to begin arriving in Delhi during this period for the G20 Summit, which is set to take place from September 8 to 10.
