Air Chief Marshal Mocks Pakistan, Says F-16, JF-17 Among 5 Jets Shot Down By India During Operation Sindoor

The Indian Air Force (IAF) recently highlighted the success of Operation Sindoor, urging other nations to take note. During this operation in May, the IAF claimed to have shot down five Pakistani fighter jets. This statement was reiterated by Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh at the 93rd Air Force Day celebrations, following Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif's misleading comments at the UN.

Operation Sindoor's Success

Air Chief Marshal Singh emphasized that India successfully targeted and paused actions during Operation Sindoor. He noted that five Pakistani jets, specifically F-16 and JF-17 models, were downed. This assertion came in response to Pakistan's claims of shooting down Indian jets, which Singh dismissed as "manohar kahaniyan" or "fascinating tales."

Mocking False Claims

Singh humorously addressed Pakistan's assertions of having downed 15 Indian jets. He remarked, "If they think they downed our 15 jets, I hope they are convinced about it and they will cater for 15 less aircraft in my inventory when they come to fight again." His comments underscored India's confidence in its military capabilities.
