India will take on its arch-rival Pakistan in the World Cup 2023 on Saturday. The match will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Even as millions across the globe eagerly await this mother of all battles, people have been concerned whether the rain might play the spoilsport. Especially since a match between India and Pakistan was washed out at the Asia Cup, last month.

The Indian Meteorological Department had earlier predicted light rain on October 14 for Ahmedabad. "While the weather is expected to remain dry during the next five days in Gujarat, light showers may occur at isolated places in Ahmedabad district on October 14. The atmosphere will remain cloudy. The next day, light rains may occur in Ahmedabad and other northern districts, such as Banaskantha, Sabarkantha and Arvalli," PTI quoted Manorama Mohanty, director of the Meteorological Centre in Ahmedabad, as saying.
What Happens If The Match Is Washed Out Due To Rains?
Well, if the match is washed out, both the teams will get one point each. Since India is considered favourites to win the match and has never lost a match against the World Cup, the Men in Blue might not be eager to settle for just one point. It is important to note that only top four teams in the points table will make it to the semi-final stage.
