Ahead of Kejriwal's Questioning, ED Raids Delhi Minister Raaj Kumar Anand's Premises

The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday conducted a raid at the home of Delhi minister Raaj Kumar Anand, just before the agency's scheduled questioning of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today.

The ED raids are underway at nine premises linked to the Delhi Labour Minister. He is the latest AAP leader to come under scrutiny by the central agency, joining several of his party colleagues being investigated in the Delhi liquor policy case.

Former deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia continues to be in jail in connection with the same case, as the Supreme Court rejected his bail plea, recently. Also, Party MP Sanjay Singh was arrested last month.

Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Arvind Kejriwal for questioning in an excise policy-linked money-laundering case on November 2.

Kejriwal has been issued the summons under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and the agency will record his statement once he deposes before the investigating officer of the case in Delhi, PTI reported citing sources.

The ED has mentioned Kejriwal's name multiple times in its chargesheets filed in the case and said the accused were in touch with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader regarding the preparation and execution of the now-scrapped Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22.

He is the latest AAP leader under the central agency's scanner with his several party colleagues being probed in the Delhi liquor policy case.

His close aide and former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia remains in jail in the same case after the Supreme Court denied him bail. Party MP Sanjay Singh was also arrested last month.
