Agartala: Man arrested for trying to bury minor daughter alive
Agartala, Jan 17: A man was arrested on the charge of his attempt to bury alive his nine-year old daughter at Putia in Sipahijala district of Tripura, police said on Saturday.
When Abul Hussain was forcibly trying to bury her daughter Rukshena in a pit in the backyard of his residence, a neighbour saw it and raised an alarm following which locals rescued the girl yesterday, SP (Control), Uttam Bhaumick said.

The incident took place when her mother was not at home.
The girl was admitted to a hospital where her condition is stated to be serious. Abul has been arrested, he said.
