After SC said no Jihad, only Love in Hadiya case, father considers review plea
K M Asokan, the father of Hadiya has said that he would consider filing a review petition after the Supreme Court declared his daughter's marriage valid.
On Thursday, the Supreme Court restored Hadiya's marriage with Shafin Jahan after the Kerala High Court had annulled the same. Reacting to the verdict of the Supreme Court, Asokan said that he would consider filing a review petition.

He said that his daughter's marriage with Jahan was an act of adjustment done by a group. It was a kind of an adjustment marriage. There is no doubt about it. I will try and convince the court about it once again, he said. It is painful for me to see my daughter with an extremist, he said.
Asokan, however, said that he was satisfied that the court had allowed the National Investigation Agency to continue with the investigations into the Love Jihad cases in Kerala.
The court had permitted to continue with the probe, but also added that it would not involve the Hadiya case.
