After Rahul, now Priyanka ready to guide Varun Gandhi,Maneka hits back

New Delhi, April 13: Now, it is an open secret that

is one among the mentors who guided her brother

in his political journey in country so far. Now, it seems that Priyanka is all set to guide her cousin brother Varun who according to Priyanka is "on the wrong path".

Taking a dig at Varun, Priyanka said, "Varun is a Gandhi who has lost his way." Her statement surfaced when she accompanied the Congress Vice President while filing nomination papers in Amethi on Saturday, April 12.

Priyanka's attack on Varun in Sultanpur also holds significance as he is contesting the Lok Sabha elections from the same constituency. While addressing Congress workers, she asked the Sultanpur electorate to help guide him the right direction.

"Please help in bringing my brother back to the right path," she said. Priyanka's statement shocked many as the younger Gandhis are reported to be sharing a cordial bond and never in the past have they made any negative remarks about each other.

Recently, Varun Gandhi received criticism after praising Rahul's work in his constituency Amethi. Addressing a public meeting, Varun Gandhi said, "We require small scale industries, like the ones Rahul Gandhi has set up in Amethi. However, I cannot give that example as I haven't seen the work at the ground level."

Priyanka's criticism against Varun did not go well with his mother Maneka Gandhi who hit out at the former saying that election results will prove "who is on wrong path".
