'Advani not invited as he is not member of committee'

Mathura, May 23: Amid controversy over L K Advani not being invited at a function in the district which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend, the organisers on Friday said the BJP patriarch has not been extended an invitation as he has never been a member of its committee.

The Prime Minister will be attending the function on May 25 at Nagla Chadrabhan village, birth place of Jansangh ideologue Deendayal Upadhyay.

Chairman of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Smarak Samiti Roshan Lal said that the committee has invited few people only who are associated with it.

He said BJP is organising a rally at Nagla Chadrabhan village on the same day and it is for the party to decide who all it wants to invite, said Lal.
