Adipurush Writer Manoj Muntashir To Get Police Protection After He Cites Threat To Life
In the wake of intense criticism surrounding Om Raut's grand-scale film Adipurush, dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir has reached out to the Mumbai Police for security, citing concerns for his safety.
''We have received an application from Manoj Shukla and we are considering providing him security following a threat to his life,'' the official told news agency PTI. Police are investigating the threat angle, he said.

The film has faced heavy scrutiny from both viewers and critics due to its substandard visual effects and controversial dialogues that were accused of distorting and disrespecting the revered epic Ramayan.
On June 18, Muntashir revealed that some dialogues in Adipurush would be changed.
As Adipurush sparked a controversy, Muntashir was apprehensive that he was in danger. The Mumbai Police will now consider Muntashir's application and take a decision on providing security to him.
Released on June 16 with much anticipation, Adipurush, helmed by Om Raut, failed to meet the high expectations of audiences.
Starring Prabhas as Raghav, Kriti Sanon as Janki, Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, Sunny Singh as Shesh, and Devdutta Nage as Bajrang, the film's massive budget of Rs 500 crore did not shield it from negative reviews.
As a response to the backlash, the filmmakers have announced their intention to modify certain dialogues to address the concerns raised by the public.
