New Delhi, Aug 25: Delhi Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) Chief M K Meena today said he is mulling "legal recourse" against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for the latter's alleged derogatory remarks terming him as "corrupt".

"I am taking consultation for taking action against the Chief Minister over his derogatory remarks for a possible legal recourse," Meena said. After meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kejriwal today said, "I told him that the Anti-Corruption Bureau was working absolutely fine before June 8 and then a corrupt officer was sent as ACB chief."

Meena to take action against Delhi CM

On June 8, Joint Commissioner Meena, a 1989-batch Indian Police Service officer, took charge of ACB after he was appointed by Lt Governor Najeeb Jung, superseding Additional Commissioner S S Yadav.

The AAP government had reacted by terming the appointment "illegal" and claimed that there was no post of joint commissioner in ACB. Meena further accused the government of not forwarding a single complaint received on the 1031 anti-graft helpline for the perusal of ACB.

"Since 19 June no complaint received on the 1031 helpline has been forwarded to ACB. Such personal attacks on a police officer demoralises the entire force," Meena said.
