AAP's Atishi Reacts Amid ED Raids On Several AAP Leaders' Residence

Allegations were made by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) minister Atishi on Tuesday, claiming that witnesses are being threatened by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to testify against AAP leaders, and to file cases against them.

During a press conference, it was stated, "ED is coercing and threatening people to provide false statements in the excise policy case against AAP leaders."

Additionally, it was mentioned that the ED raids on AAP leaders are being conducted to silence the party.

AAP Reacts to ED Raids

Audio recordings of witness statements were allegedly 'deleted' by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), and it is being challenged to produce them in front of the country, as stated by Atishi during a press conference.

Over the last 2 years, AAP leaders have been facing threats. In the name of the so-called liquor scam, houses are raided, summons are issued, and arrests are made.

Further, she added, despite hundreds of raids in two years, not a single rupee has been recovered by the ED. Even after two years, no concrete evidence has been found, and the court has repeatedly requested the presentation of evidence.

This press conference comes after the AAP minister had tweeted on Monday that she would be doing a big 'expose' on Tuesday.

"I will be doing an explosive exposé on ED at 10 am tomorrow! Watch this space", she wrote on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

ED searches against Delhi CM Kejriwal's PS, persons linked to AAP

Meanwhile, the premises of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's secretary Bibhav Kumar and some individuals associated with the Aam Aadmi Party were searched by the Enforcement Directorate, on Tuesday, as part of a money laundering probe, according to official sources.

About 12 premises in the national capital are being encompassed as part of the raids. It remains unclear whether the searches are part of an ongoing money laundering investigation or are related to a fresh case, as per the sources.

The locations of Bibhav Kumar and former Delhi Jal Board member Shalabh Kumar, as well as the office of Rajya Sabha MP and national treasurer N D Gupta from the party, among others, are being covered by officials of the central agency.
