AAP Unveils 'Guarantees' For Chhattisgarh Polls: Employment, Education, Health Top The List
Delhi's Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national leader, Arvind Kejriwal, embarked on a day-long visit to the capital of Chhattisgarh, Raipur, on Saturday. During this visit, he unveiled 'guarantee cards' outlining the promises his party intends to fulfill if elected to power in the state. This marked Kejriwal's third trip to the poll-bound region in the last five months.
Kejriwal was accompanied by Bhagwant Mann, the Chief Minister of Punjab. Together, they addressed an AAP workers' convention at Jainam Manas Bhavan.

The unveiled 'guarantee cards' comprises a range of commitments:
Employment Guarantee:
- Every unemployed individual will be provided with employment opportunities.
- Unemployed individuals will receive an unemployment allowance of Rs 3000 per month until they secure a job.
- Approximately Rs 10 lakh unemployed individuals will be recruited for government positions.
- Job recruitment will be transparent, eliminating recommendations and corruption. Opportunities will be open to the general public.
Electricity Guarantee:
- Similar to Delhi and Punjab, every household in Chhattisgarh will receive 300 units of free electricity per month.
- 24-hour uninterrupted electricity will be supplied to all villages and cities.
- Previous outstanding domestic electricity bills will be waived under the AAP government.
Women's Guarantee:
- All women above 18 years of age will receive a monthly stipend of ₹1000 as Stree Samman Rashi.
Education Guarantee:
- All children in Chhattisgarh will have access to quality and free education.
- Government schools will be improved to match the standards of Delhi.
- Private schools in Chhattisgarh will be prevented from unjustly increasing fees.
- Contractual teachers will be confirmed, and vacant teaching positions will be filled.
- Teachers will solely focus on teaching and won't be assigned other tasks.
Health Guarantee:
- Access to free and quality healthcare will be ensured for all Chhattisgarh citizens, akin to Delhi.
- Medical treatments, tests, and surgeries will be provided free of charge, similar to the provisions in Delhi.
- Mohalla clinics will be established in villages and wards, mirroring Delhi's approach.
- Existing government hospitals will be upgraded, and new facilities will be established.
- Free treatment will be provided to all road accident victims across the state.
Pilgrimage Guarantee:
- Senior citizens will be allowed to travel for free to their chosen pilgrimage sites, with accommodations and meals provided.
Corruption-Free Guarantee:
- A commitment to eradicate corruption in Chhattisgarh, inspired by Delhi's anti-corruption measures.
- Government office visits for work will be eliminated; instead, individuals can call a designated phone number for assistance. Government employees will visit homes to complete tasks without the need for bribes.
Honoring Martyrs' Guarantee:
- Families of soldiers from the Indian Army and Chhattisgarh Police who lose their lives in service will receive an honorarium of Rs 1 crore.
Working-Class Guarantee:
- Regularization of contract, placement, and irregular employees across all departments.
- Discontinuation of the contract system.
- Arvind Kejriwal's visit and the release of these 'guarantee cards' showcase AAP's intentions and aspirations for Chhattisgarh, emphasizing transparency, social welfare, and the betterment of various aspects of citizens' lives.
