Bengaluru, July 8: Taking a swipe at Aam Aadmi Party over discord with its Punjab MPs, former AAP leader Yogendra Yadav said Arvind Kejriwal's outfit is being ruled by high command-centric "Delhi Durbar" culture and Punjab would never accept it.

"It is not the question of merely three MPs. The real question is of the high command-centric Delhi Durbar culture which is ruling AAP just as any other party. Punjab has never accepted Delhi Durbar in the last five years.

'AAP ruled by 'Delhi Durbar culture'

I think this time too it will not accept such a thing," he told reporters. Expressing disappointment, Yadav said contrary to the hopes of AAP staying away from such culture, it apparently has fallen a prey to it. "Delhi-centric control is a disease of country's politics.

Everyone had hoped, and we had also hoped that Aam Aadmi Party would be away from this disease, but it seems to have fallen a prey to it," he said. The controversy came to light after AAP asked its MPs to give a report on the work they have done over the past one year. This direction came a day after three party parliamentarians met to register their unhappiness over recent appointments in the Punjab state unit.

On the Vyapam scam, Yadav demanded Supreme Court monitored investigation because CBI cannot nail the mystery surrounding the scandal. "Truth cannot be arrived at by CBI. If Shivraj Singh Chouhan cannot find the truth in Vyapam, it is unlikely that Rajnath Singh's ministry will find it," he said.

Yadav said Vyapam is a horror story which is unraveling every day and clearly there is a deep connection between fraud and political masters. To a query, Yadav said Narendra Modi's one-year rule is a story of disappointment on the front of corruption and farmers' problems.

"Modi's rule is a story of disappointment notwithstanding a little excitement on the foreign policy front, which doesn't seem to have given long term leads, but real disappointment comes on the front of corruption itself," he said.

Yadav said the Prime Minister's government is anti-farmer and such government cannot survive. However, the country can give Modi government more time on other fronts though, Yadav said.
