AAP MP Sanjay Singh Slams Modi Govt For Avoiding Parliamentary Discussion On Delhi Pollution, Falling Rupee

Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Monday accused the Centre of blocking debates in Parliament on Delhi’s severe air pollution and other national concerns. Singh told reporters that the government refused discussion even as the Air Quality Index in the capital reportedly crossed 1000.

Singh said Delhi had effectively “turned into a gas chamber” and argued that the health emergency demanded urgent parliamentary attention. Citing data, Singh claimed that nearly two million people died every year in India from pollution-related causes, yet the issue still did not receive space for a structured debate.
