AAP Shares Lok Sabha Candidates List For Punjab

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has released the first list of candidates who will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024. As per the announcement, the party has shared 8 names who will contest the polls.

The party has picked Punjab minister Meet Hayer to contest from the Sangrur seat, which was earlier represented by the now Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann.

While party has nominated Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal to contest from Amritsar, Laljit Singh Bhullar from Khadoor Sahib, Karamjeet Anmol from Faridkot, Gurmeet Singh Khudian from Bathinda, Dr Balbir Singh from Patiala, Sushil Kumar Rinky from Jalandhar, Gurpreet Singh SP from Fatehgarh Sahib constituency.

Notably, the Punjab has 13 Lok Sabha seats and the party will soon announce the rest of the names soon.

Thanking the party leadership for the opportunity, Patiala candidate Dr Balbir Singh said, "I am deeply thankful to my idol and political guru Arvind Kejriwal ji and honourable CM Bhagwant Mann ji for entrusting me with the task of contesting Lok Sabha election from Patiala."

He further added "As a dedicated soldier of the party, it's a privilege and an honour to carry the flag of the struggle for justice and liberty during these trying times for the country. I assure the party leadership and the people of Patiala that I will leave no stone unturned in the service of the country, state & party."

Opinion Poll Prediction For Lok Sabha Elections in Punjab 2024:

According to the opinion poll surveys, INDIA Bloc has an edge over the NDA in Punjab. The data suggest that the ruling AAP may win 6 seats, while Congress may win 5 seats. However, the BJP is likely to bag only one seat. Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) may fail to open its account, predicted opinion polls.

Notably, AAP has done alliance with Congress for Delhi and other states, but in Punjab, the party has decided to contest all seats solo.
