AAP Announces 'Main Bhi Kejriwal' Campaign Following Kejriwal's Arrest

New Delhi, March 24 - In a significant development, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will not resign from his position despite his recent arrest in connection with the excise policy case. This decision was made during the party's first major meeting following Kejriwal's arrest, led by AAP national general secretary organisation Dr. Sandeep Pathak.

Main Bhi Kejriwal Campaign Announced

The meeting focused on strategizing the party's future actions and maintaining its operational continuity. It was resolved that Kejriwal would continue to lead and issue directives from his current location, ensuring the party's activities remain unaffected. Furthermore, Dr. Pathak unveiled plans for the 'Main Bhi Kejriwal' campaign, aiming to galvanize support through various promotional materials and public participation in upcoming events.

Dr. Pathak emphasized the importance of the campaign and urged supporters to display 'Main Bhi Kejriwal' stickers prominently during the INDIA bloc's maha rally at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan on March 31. This rally is expected to see significant participation from AAP and Congress leaders, highlighting a united front against the opposition.

In preparation for the rally, Dr. Pathak has called for comprehensive meetings across all assembly constituencies to ensure a substantial turnout. He estimates that with concerted efforts, approximately 1.5 lakh individuals will gather at Ramlila Maidan, demonstrating widespread support for Kejriwal and his leadership.

Additionally, Dr. Pathak has encouraged party leaders and volunteers to wear black ribbons as a symbol of protest during the rally. This gesture aims to signify solidarity and resistance against what he describes as a politically motivated arrest by the BJP to destabilize AAP.

Dr. Pathak's statements reflect a defiant stance against attempts to undermine AAP's unity and leadership. He highlighted Kejriwal's resilience and determination, suggesting that his leadership from detention could potentially be more impactful than before.

Arvind Kejriwal, aged 55, was taken into custody by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) from his official residence on Thursday over allegations related to an excise policy-linked money-laundering case. Following his arrest, a court ordered his detention under ED custody until March 28, marking a critical juncture for both Kejriwal and the AAP.

The AAP's decision not to seek Kejriwal's resignation and to proceed with planned campaigns and rallies indicates a strategic approach to maintaining momentum and public support amidst legal challenges. As developments unfold, the party appears committed to navigating through this period with resilience and unity.
