AAP Unveils 'Washing Machine Ka Kaalu Jaadu' to Challenge BJP's Anti-Corruption Stance

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has initiated a unique campaign titled 'Washing Machine Ka Kaalu Jaadu' aimed at critiquing the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) stance on corruption. This campaign was unveiled by AAP Delhi state convener Gopal Rai, who also serves as a minister in the Arvind Kejriwal government, alongside cabinet minister Saurabh Bharadwaj at the party headquarters.

AAPs New Campaign Against BJP

In a dramatic representation, Bharadwaj showcased a large washing machine on stage, symbolizing the BJP's alleged mechanism of 'cleaning' corruption-accused leaders. He contrasted this with a representation of Central Jail, indicating the fate of those who resist joining the BJP or stepping back from social service. Notably, Bharadwaj used the examples of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan to illustrate his point.

Furthermore, Bharadwaj highlighted the cases of former Delhi ministers Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain, praising their contributions to education and health in the national capital. He accused the BJP and its agencies of fabricating cases against them due to their refusal to succumb to pressure.

Rai emphasized that the 'Washing Machine Ka Kaalu Jaadu' campaign is central to AAP's strategy for the upcoming Lok Sabha election. He questioned the BJP's claims of fighting corruption and sought to expose what he termed as the 'black magic' of the BJP's washing machine. Rai announced that four teams would be deployed across four Lok Sabha constituencies in Delhi to further this campaign until May 23.

The campaign aims to enlighten citizens about the reality behind the central government's actions, with Rai asserting that the country is now beginning to see through the 'magic' of this metaphorical washing machine. He also accused the central government of being controlled by only two agencies: the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

On the ground, senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh has been actively campaigning in various parts of Delhi. During a resolution meeting in Uttam Nagar and Vikaspuri, Singh urged voters to respond to Arvind Kejriwal’s incarceration with their votes. He supported INDIA bloc candidate Mahabal Mishra, emphasizing Mishra's long-standing commitment to representing the rights of Purvanchal's people in Delhi.

Gopal Rai also held a resolution meeting under the 'Jail ka Jawab Vote Se' campaign in Badarpur, rallying support for INDIA bloc's AAP candidate Sahiram Pahalwan. Rai voiced a united opposition against what he described as BJP's dictatorship and atrocities, highlighting widespread dissatisfaction with the Modi government among various sections of society.

Rai concluded by stressing that the upcoming election is not merely about electing MPs or forming a government but is crucial for safeguarding India's Constitution and democracy. He called upon voters to support AAP by pressing the broom button – AAP's election symbol – on May 25, signaling a collective aspiration for change.
