AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal Slams BJP After Saffron Party Releases 'Charge Sheet'; Asks What You Did For Delhi?

Former Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal was quick to hit back at the BJP following saffron party's release of a 'charge sheet' against the Delhi government. Arvind Kejirwal questioned the BJP's contributions to Delhi, asserting that they have done nothing for the city. Kejriwal claimed that the law and order situation has deteriorated under the BJP's watch.

Earlier, senior BJP leader Anurag Thakur accused Kejriwal of transforming Delhi into a "corruption lab" through various scams. Thakur alleged involvement in scandals related to liquor policy, Delhi Jal Board, DTC, and Waqf Board. The BJP aims to oust AAP from power in the upcoming elections.

BJP's Allegations Against AAP

The BJP has formed a "chargesheet committee" ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections scheduled for February next year. This committee has documented alleged failures of AAP MLAs. Thakur criticised AAP's performance in education and health sectors, claiming they failed to establish new Mohalla Clinics and hospitals.

Kejriwal responded by highlighting AAP's achievements in areas like electricity, water supply, women's travel, and infrastructure development. He challenged the BJP to present their accomplishments over the past five years. According to Kejriwal, the BJP lacks a clear agenda or vision for Delhi.

Infrastructure and Environmental Concerns

Thakur also pointed out issues such as water shortages, poor sanitation, and damaged roads under AAP's governance. He mentioned that a smog tower in Connaught Place remains non-functional despite significant advertising expenditure by the AAP government.

Kejriwal accused the BJP of having no chief ministerial candidate or narrative for Delhi. He stated that their only focus is on criticising him rather than presenting solutions for the city's problems.

Upcoming Elections

The political battle intensifies as both parties prepare for the 70-member Delhi Assembly elections next February. The BJP is determined to challenge AAP's rule by highlighting alleged corruption and governance failures.

No immediate response was available from AAP regarding Thakur's allegations. However, Kejriwal continues to defend his party's record while questioning the BJP's contributions to improving life in Delhi.
