Aadhaar No Longer Considered As Proof Of Birth Document By EPFO: What Are Other Options?

The Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), under the Ministry of Labor and Employment of India, has removed the Aadhaar Card from the list of accepted documents for verifying the date of birth.

Going forward, Aadhaar will not be considered valid proof of date of birth in EPFO transactions. An official communication from the UIDAI has announced the removal of Aadhaar from both the list of documents for establishing date of birth and for making corrections in this regard. Alternative documents must now be provided for these purposes.
